John C. Kutner, Partner | Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP

Please join us as we kick off our first meeting of the new year on January 17th, for a dynamic presentation focused on legalized marijuana, workers' compensation and the workplace. John Kutner will discuss developments in states’ medical and recreational marijuana laws, and the interplay between state and federal law. He will focus on marijuana use within the workplace and employers’ options in addressing that issue. Finally, John will highlight the intersection of marijuana and opiate use in the workers’ compensation context.
John is Chair of the Medical Marijuana and Opioid Industry Team. He is well-versed in state and federal marijuana laws and their impact on employers with regard to employer/ employee rights, workers compensation, and the effect they may have on insurance carriers and third-party administrators. John consults with employers, insurance carriers, attorneys and frequently presents on the topic on a national and local level.
John Kutner defends Fortune 500 companies, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in various areas of law including employment and workers’ compensation. John also handles workers’ compensation litigation for large transport companies.

This is an open event and everyone is welcome to attend. You are not required to be a member of the CPCU Society or have earned your CPCU designation to attend this event.
